Yesterday we had a special visitor. Turns out that Mrs. Carr's very first memory of Kindergarten was when SHE was in kindergarten She remembers vividly when Santa emerged through the door to surprise her class. Well, guess what? To help complete her lifetime of kindergarten full circle, guess who took time off from his vacation in Hawaii to give Mrs. Carr a personal gift? Santa Clause! He came to award Mrs. Carr with a "Forever on the Nice List" certificate.

Friday we celebrated the retirement of two amazing educators; our kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Connie Carr, and our Principal, Ms. Jennifer Rueger. Both are such huge part of our SMGS Family and will be missed. I legacy of leadership and true caring in education will be left and we are so grateful that each of these accomplished women shared their love and commitment to the futures of our children with our SMGS family. Happy Retirement!

Jr. Bears Stunt Clinic
SMHS Cheer will be hosting a Jr. Bears Stunt Clinic on July 10th-12th
for any students in grades 3-5. Students will learn the safety precautions, the basics of stunting during Cheer, a chant and a cheer to perform. They will progress to
learn more advanced skills as appropriate to their abilities.
Dates: July 10th, July 11th & July 12th
Time: 9:00am - 11:00am
Age Group: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade & 5th Grade Students
Cost: $50 per student
On the final camp day, parents will be invited to a
showcase where the participants will display the skills
they have learned! All participants will also be invited to
the first Home Game of the season to perform part of their
showcase material at the end of the 1st Quarter.
