Spring Pictures!
Students in grades K-6 enjoyed making beaded snowflakes as a reward for a paw drawing. We also talked about a few things to try at home to possibly get a good snowfall before winter is over. Things such as throwing ice off your porch or deck, sleeping with your pjs inside out and backwards, running around the table 5 times before going to bed, and sleeping with a white crayon under your pillow were all suggestions.
SMGS Book Club
2023 started of with a beautiful read. The Book Club chose the children's novel, Wishtree, by Katherine Applegate. In celebration of completing the read, a wrap party was held in the library with character themed crafts and meaningful discussion about friendship and inclusion. What a lovely message Wishtree instills in readers,--no matter what age!

Calling out Darion Mzhickteno who received a Pawsitive call home from Ms. Rueger. Darion was a standout in his 5th grade class for helping a teacher who was experiencing computer hiccups. Although there were many failed attempts to remedy the situation, Darion chose to miss out on the fun centers and continue to work on the problem until he found the solution to the tech problem and had things up and running. Such perseverance!!! Great job Darion!!
