SMHS Students: Jere F Miller Scholarship SMHS Juniors and Seniors, We are pleased to invite juniors and seniors who are pursuing course work from Highland Community College OR Washburn Tech to apply for funds from The Jere F. Miller Charitable Trust. These funds may be used for course fees only and will be sent directly to the college. The grant amounts will vary depending on individual needs. To be considered for this grant a student must: 1. Be a Junior or Senior at St. Marys High School 2. Intend to complete course work at Highland Community College or enrolled at WT 3. Rudd Foundation Scholarship- Due December 1 Application Requirements: Graduating high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in the fall. Must have a cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or above. Must have taken the ACT or SAT and submit the score to apply. Must be a Kansas resident and qualify for in-state tuition. Demonstrate financial need (Pell-eligible). Will attend either Emporia State, Fort Hays State, Kansas State, or Wichita State Universities. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident. Bluestem Electric Cooperative Scholarship Each year Bluestem Electric Cooperative's scholarship program provides 10 scholarships totaling $10,000 to high school seniors whose parents or guardians are members of Bluestem. Below are the eligibility requirements: - Current high school seniors whose parents/guardians are members of Bluestem Electric Cooperative, Inc., are eligible to apply for these scholarships. - Each applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university or college, including junior, community, and vocational or technical college. - All applicants for the Bluestem Electric Cooperative Scholarships shall be considered on the above criteria without regard to race, age, color, religion, gender, national origin, or existence of a physical handicap. - Any Bluestem Electric Cooperative Scholarship Recipient who receives a full ride scholarship from any other source will forfeit the Bluestem Electric Cooperative Scholarship. The Neighbors Serving Neighbors test is critical to your overall score. It is graded and getting more than one or two questions wrong can potentially eliminate you from consideration.
Clovia House- KState Senior Girls Alpha of Clovia is a Cooperative Living Leadership House located near the Manhattan campus of Kansas State University. Since 1931, the women of Alpha of Clovia have lived together in a cooperative manner – sharing housework and possessions to reduce the overall cost of living. Throughout the years, women from various backgrounds across the country have become members, participating in activities such as: philanthropies, house retreats, the annual national Clovia meeting, and homecoming, among other social events. All of these activities and more are done while maintaining a high sense of academic scholarship while studying at Kansas State University. Big Sun Scholarship The Big Sun Scholarship will award a $500 scholarship to a senior who participated in athletics. Apply at: http://www.bigsunathletics.com. The deadline is June 19th.
Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship The Kansas Kiwanis Foundation we would like to ask if it is possible to get the scholarship application for our current application period distributed to all high school counselors again this year. Our deadline is a postmark date of February 1 and we are trying to get the applications for the 2025-2026 academic year out prior to the Christmas break. Washburn Aleshire Center Scholarship Direct from high school and transfer students coming to Washburn University are invited to complete the incoming student application. These are competitive scholarships suitable for students who exhibit leadership initiative and/or seek additional community engagement developmental opportunities during their college years. Most scholarships start at $1,250. Eligibility criteria 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale for high school students Cumulative 2.75 GPA for transfer students Requirements Attending Washburn University full time (at least 12 hours per semester). Maintaining at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA. Achieving satisfactory annual progress toward earning a Leadership Studies or Community Studies minor or certificate as indicated in the Satisfactory Annual Progress section. Kansas Masonic Foundation Scholarship Program Applications will be accepted from December 1st – February 15th. You must reapply each year to be eligible for a scholarship. KADPF Scholarship Due 2/14/25 The Kansas Association of Directors of Plant Facilities promotes bringing the buildings and grounds profession to a greater height of knowledge and professionalism and has established a scholarship fund and will award 5 $3,500 academic scholarships and 5 $3,500 technical scholarships to qualifying students. These scholarships are available only to graduating seniors of non-instructional support staff who wish to continue their education at the college level or technical school. The students must be residents of Kansas and graduate from a Kansas High School and plan to attend a Kansas College or technical school. Only children whose parent or legal guardian is actively employed in a K-12 or secondary education institution and engaged in a buildings and grounds, food service or transportation position shall be eligible for these scholarships and it is the responsibility of the school to submit their best applications for competition. It is again time for KADPF Scholarship applications. Applications are due to me by February 14, 2025. Unfortunately, the answer is no. It was designed to be a scholarship awarded to children and guardians of plant facility operators, secretaries and paras usually fall under building administration.
Kansas City Royals + Ag Partners Scholarship Program: Kansas City Royals + Ag Partners Scholarship Program: https://www.agpartnerscoop.com/about/royals-scholarship-program DEADLINE: March 1, 2025 Ag Partners is the official ag cooperative of the Kansas City Royals! We have partnered with the Royals to bring another scholarship opportunity to the youth in the agriculture industry. There are two categories' students can apply for: Agriculture Marketing and Agriculture Education. Each category will have three winners: First Place will receive $4,000, Second & Third Place will each receive $500. Qualifications: Applicant must be a high school senior, graduating in Spring 2025 OR a student currently attending a post-secondary institution. Attend an educational institution in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Arkansas. Enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the Fall 2025 semester. Submit one photo suitable for promotional use upon selection as an awardee. Selection & Recognition: Each category will have three winners: First Place will receive $4,000, Second & Third Place will each receive $500. All scholarship winners will receive a certificate of achievement upon selection. First place winners in both categories will receive their certificate directly from a representative of the scholarship program. All winners will be recognized by Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc. and the Kansas City Royals throughout the year through various platforms, including print, digital and broadcast mediums. All winners will be invited to an on-field experience at Kauffman Stadium during the 2025 season.
Ag Partners Scholarship Program: Ag Partners Scholarship Program: https://www.agpartnerscoop.com/about/scholarship-program DEADLINE: March 1, 2025 Ag Partners will offer five $1,000 scholarships to qualifying high school seniors who submit a completed online application. Applicants will be notified by April 2025 once the scholarship committee has determined awardees. Scholarships will be mailed directly to the school that is being attended on behalf of each recipient. Qualifications: Applicant must be a child or grandchild of a current Ag Partners member-owner or employee. Be a high school senior, graduating in spring 2025. Enrolled at a post-secondary institution immediately following high school graduation. Demonstrate leadership abilities, academic performance, and desire to further their education and career in an agricultural-related field. Submit one photo suitable for the newspaper to be used upon selection as an awardee. Complete the application online.
Kansas Rural Communities Foundation Scholarships Walter Byers Scholarship (approx. $1,000) Walters Byers was the owner of the Byers Ranch near Emmett, Kansas from 1965 until his death in 2015. In 1951 Mr. Byers was named the first executive director of the NCAA. It was Mr. Byers' wish to award an annual, renewable scholarship to a Kansas high school student based upon need and academic achievement. The scholarship may be used to attend any college or university in the United States. The scholarship may be renewed for recipients, upon determination by the Kansas Rural Communities Foundation of continuing eligibility, through college and may even extend to post graduate studies in a field other than law or veterinary medicine. Criteria • Available to a high school senior from Jackson, Nemaha, Pottawatomie or Wabaunsee counties • The applicant must be a Kansas resident for at least four years prior to receipt of the scholarship • Grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (3.0 GPA must be maintained in college for renewal) • Evidence of financial need required Kaw Valley State Bank & Trust Co Employee Donor Advised Scholarship (2 at approx. $250 each) The employees of the Kaw Valley State Bank in Wamego, Kansas have established a fund to award scholarships to area high school seniors. Two $250 scholarships will be awarded to students attending a high school in Pottawatomie or Wabaunsee counties. Criteria • Available to a high school senior from Pottawatomie or Wabaunsee counties • The recipient shall be enrolled in any accredited two or four year post-secondary institution. • Special consideration shall be given to a family member of an employee of Kaw Valley State Bank. • Special consideration shall be given to any student who shows leadership within their school by being part of a club or civic group. WTC Scholarships (6) (approx. $1,000) WTC (formerly Wamego Telephone Company, Inc.) has always considered it important to give back to the educational efforts of youth within each community it serves. These scholarships were established in 1998 to reward those students who have excelled during their high school years and are available to a graduating senior at each high school in WTC's service area: Wamego, Rock Creek, Rossville, Wabaunsee, St. Marys Academy, and St. Marys High School. Criteria • Available to a graduating senior at each high school in WTC's service area (Wamego, Rock Creek, Wabaunsee, and St. Marys (High School and Academy). • Available for attendance at any 2- or 4-year accredited school. • Selection is based on the academic performance of students. • Financial need will be considered.
