USD 321 Kaw Valley and each school building within the district have a wellness policy that addresses goals for nutrition, nutrition promotion and education, physical activity, and other school-based activities promoting wellness. New SuperTracker Resource Available!
This week the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) launched a new, free resource for teachers, schools, and health educators. SuperTracker Nutrition Lesson Plans for High School Students grades 9-12 learn how to build a healthy diet using SuperTracker.
The lesson plans include a variety of topics such as selecting healthy snacks, finding personal recommendations for what and how much to eat, evaluating food selections, and building healthy meals. Each lesson plan includes learning objectives, detailed instructions, and accompanying resources and handouts. The lesson plans are available for download on the ChooseMyPlate.gov “For Educators” page at www.choosemyplate.gov/information-educators.html
2022-23 Meal Prices:
If your student wants an extra milk they will be charged $.50 per milk.Students that bring their lunch may purchase a milk for $.50 each.Student accounts must maintain a positive balance to be able to purchase extra milks.
